Whether that be because they have some new and upcoming developments, cultural immersion you can't find somewhere else, a booming food scene, or just feel like their calling new travelers names. Here's my list of travel inspiration for 2025.

Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, offers so much more than just reef access. It's close to the ancient Daintree Rainforest, one of the world’s oldest rainforests. The city also has a thriving art scene showcasing both local and Indigenous artists. Cairns has an easy-going, laid-back vibe with great dining, lively markets, and easy access to the lush Atherton Tablelands for a taste of local produce and wildlife. It’s an ideal base to explore a tropical paradise beyond the reef. Further south you have Hamilton Island perfect for couples and families alike, especially since cars are not allowed on the island (with the exception of a few for public transport and trade). It offers a blend of serenity, luxury, and adventure.
